Criterion Collection Movie Cover
Audience:
Criterion Collection users, adults interested in watching documentaries, specifically in the science and technological genres
Design Problem:
As a class assignment, I was proposed to design a documentary movie cover for a movie that was either existing in the Criterion Collection and needed to be redesigned or for a movie that was never designed for the Collection and to provide a solution for there not being one.
Why it works:
Choosing a movie that had not been included in the Criterion Collection, I created a cover for Lo and Behold: Reveries of a Connected World to give it a face for the large existed fanbase who use Criterion Collection to watch documentaries who often use cover designs assigned to its movie title to find interest in watching the movie itself. Being provided the Criterion Collection template made the finished design look professional and as real as any movie cover seen on the Criterion Collection website.
Skills Applied:
Adobe Photoshop and InDesign
Execution:
As a class assignment, I was given the Criterion Collection template and was delegated to work around the template to provide designs for the background image, the movie title, and summary text for the back.
